A sealed cylinder wine bottle of dark amber colour with double string rim and kick up applied with a seal ASCR for All Souls College Common Room, 26cm high, circa 1800-1810, small rim chip; together with a similar shaped bottle of pale olive colour with conical string rim and kick up applied with a seal LUPTON, 28cm high, circa 1820. (2). * Built in 1772, Lupton House was situated in Churston Ferrers and was the seat of the Buller family from 1788. It was largely destroyed by fire in 1926 and is now the Gramercy Hall School.
