An 18th Century Copper Wine Cooler. The broad, outwardly flared border with a beaded band & rolled rim. The shallow bulbous body having gadrooned sides with an upper band of embossed roundels & punchwork decoration. The large twin hoop handles hanging from the mouths of griffins, and standing 8 ins (20 1/2 cms) high. 18 ins x 16 ins (46 cms x 41 cms).
A 16th Century Italian Copper Repoussé Wine Cooler (A/F) on a wrought iron stand. The oval cooler having a flared rim decorated with oval beading above gadrooned bulge sides. The base ornamented with a guilloche knot, 7 1/2 ins (19 cms) high, 17 1/2 ins x 16 ins (45 cms x 42 cms). The stand with a cross of upswept supporting arms; three with scroll ends, the other with a tenon end, on a central square section knopped stem with three broken scroll legs, 34 ins (86 cms) overall in height.

The four panel lid having a moulded edge above a channeled frieze with carved inscription; 'DEO-SIVERE•IST•REGE•NARE•ANNO•DOMMINO•1657' The arcaded front panels relief carved with symbolic figures; a mother & children, Lady of Justice, figure with anchor & figure pouring wine from a ewer. The dividing muntins enriched with caryatids and a central Antlante with tasselled pendant garlands of fruit adorning the stiles. The moulded base raised on bracket feet. The twin panelled sides embellished with stylized foliate strap-work. 34 ins (86 cms) high, 66 1/2 ins (169 cms) wide and 30 ins (76 cms) deep.
