A 19th century box and cover naturalistically modelled and painted in the form of a pug dog's head with large brown eyes and black snout, the metal mounted hinged cover painted after Murillo, depicting a scene of two urchins with a dog sitting in a gutter drinking wine (possibly Chamberlain Worcester), 11cms long.Condition ReportThere is a hairline crack running from the right hand ear through the right hand side of the head, approx. 3cms long. There's another very small hairline crack at the bottom of the head where it meets the plated collar, the plated mounts are tarnished and there is a slight paint chip to the nose.
A Chinese blue & white baluster vase decorated in relief with a landscape, four character mark to the underside, 18cms high; together with a Chinese blue & white wine pot, 12cms high; a Japanese blue & white teapot, 11cms high; a blue & white bowl, 18cms diameter; and a Chinese famille rose figure of a robed scholar, 17cms high (5).Condition ReportThe baluster vase has some fritting to the upper rim and a hairline crack to the neck. The tea pot is chipped at the spout, cover rim and the inner rim. The bowl has fritting to the upper rim and two very small chips to the foot rim. The small tea pot has chips to the inner rim neck and the cover finial is chipped. The end of the spout is chipped and has some hairline cracks, some fritting to the teapot rim and some small chips to the lower rim. The figure has paint/glaze chips to his hat and a chip to the end of one foot.
