A pair of 18th century silver wine coasters, unmarked, probably Irish circa 1780, circular form, pierced and embossed with figures, birds and foliate scroll decoration, rope-work borders, wooden bases, engraved with a crest, diameter 14.3cm, height 6.3cm. Seven 18th Century drawn stem wine glasses, various CONDITION REPORT: 124:5 of the glasses are 14.5cm high, these look part of a set, very closely matched. The other two look a pair and are 15.5cm high.One of the set of 5 has a rim chip, another has a flat chip under associated with the pontil mark (time of Manufacture). Otherwise good.
An 18th Century wine glass with bell shaped bowl with teardrop on a drawn stem and circular base with folded foot, 16cm high, and two others both with conical bowls, drawn stem and circular bases, 14.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: 127 - Large glass, foot rim has flaw with black deposit to surface, scratches and small flaw to bowl. One of the two similar glasses has a minute rim chip and some scratches to foot.

A pair of George III silver wine coasters, by Robert Hennell, London 1777,each with pierced and bright-cut engraved galleries, hardwood bases,13.5cm diameter (2)Condition report: Please view additional images.They are slightly out of round and the base to one rattles. The inserts show signs of use. The cartouches were previously engraved, but the silver is still of a good gauge.Wooden bases - one is slightly loose, but held in place sufficiently to still be a complete article.There are surface marks to the mahogany box.Marks - One set has some loss to the left side of the maker's mark and some slight wear to the right section of the date letter. The others are particularly crisp.Gallery - There are no splits or considerable bends/dents. The chased decoration is reasonably crisp and consistent. The 'vacant' cartouch has the very feint remnants of a crest/device.Some smaller dents to lower rim where silver meets the base.
