1985 Chateau d'Issan 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux OWC 11x75cl Levels 1 BN, 2 VTS, 2 TS, 3 T/HS, 3 HS, capsules badly corroded and damaged around collar. (High to mid-shoulder bottle with corroded capsule tasted from this case). Surprisingly dense garnet core leading to a brick red rim. Intensely perfumed with a complex bouquet of cassis, prunes, cedarwood and graphite. The palate delivers mouth-coating layers of black fruit and a soft, wine-gummy texture backed by fresh, balancing acidity and smooth tannins. Rich, silky Margaux with a long, lingering finish.
