A bottle Petrus Grand Vin, 1982, Pomerol, France.Category: red wine.75cl.Level: C.1982 was a great vintage of Petrus Pomerol Grand Vin. Petrus is today one of the most appreciated and expensive wines in the world, along with the first crus from the left bank of the Gironde. The 11.4 hectares of Petrus vineyards are located on a plateau in the eastern part of Pomerol and produce 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The estate was one of the first in Bordeaux to use green harvesting to reduce yields and increase the quality of the remaining grapes, in some years even eliminating 50% of the harvest. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand over a period of two to three days and fermented in cement vats at controlled temperatures. The young wine is aged in new French oak barrels for twenty months. A severe selection is carried out prior to blending in vat, and some lots are rejected for the Grand Vin.

Lot 11

Two bottles of Château Mouton Rothschild 1984, Pauillac, France.Category: Red wine.75 cl.With damage to the labelling.Grade: C.Considered one of the best wines in the world, Château Mouton Rothschild is produced in the wine estate of the same name, located in the village of Pauillac and owned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, only daughter of the legendary Baron Philippe. The Official Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855 did not include this vineyard among the first crosses, probably because it had recently been acquired by an Englishman and was therefore no longer French-owned. In 1973, however, Mouton was finally elevated to Premier Cru status. The idea of having each year's label designed by a famous artist of the time came from Baron Philippe de Rothschild, and in 1946 this became a permanent and significant aspect of Mouton's image, with labels created by some of the world's greatest painters and sculptors: Jean Cocteau, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Antoni Tàpies, Henry Moore, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Salvador Dalí or Francis Bacon, among others.

Bottle Château Lafite-Rothschild 1970 Magnum, Pauillac, France.Category: red wine.1,5 L.The labelling is damaged. The cork is below the level of the capsule.Level: E.Château Lafite Rothschild is a winery located in Bordeaux, France, owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild. The name Lafite comes from the Gascon word "la hite", meaning "little hill". Located in the large wine-producing village of Pauillac, in the Médoc region northwest of Bordeaux, it is believed that there were already vineyards there at the end of the 17th century. In the early 18th century Nicolas-Alexandre, Marquis de Ségur, refined the estate's winemaking techniques and introduced its wines to the most refined strata of the European nobility. He soon became known as the "prince of wine", and the wine of Château Lafite was called "the king's wine" thanks to the influential support of Marshal de Richelieu. By the end of the 18th century the winery's fame was fully established; even Thomas Jefferson visited the estate, becoming a lifelong consumer of its wines.

Lot 136

A bottle of Vega Sicilia Único fine table wine, 1941, Ribera del Duero.Category: red wine.75 cl.Cork is below the level of encapsulation.Level: D.El Único is Vega Sicilia's benchmark wine, although it shares its special sparkle with the rest of the winery's wines. It comes from the oldest vines of the property and in its composition, in addition to tempranillo, there is more cabernet sauvignon than merlot. Although it is old, the red maintains a liveliness provided by its good acidity, compensated by a round alcoholic content. It has an intense ripe cherry colour, with the lively edge of a wine that is always in fullness. The aroma is dominated by the toasted touches of the wood, with the hazelnut notes of its oxidative evolution during its years in barrels. It has a fullness of flavours of aged but clean wood, with dry and pleasantly bitter tannins from the oak, together with a touch of light sweetness from its alcohol. It is a very long flavoured wine, with race. This winery has been awarded the following prizes: Gold Medal and Grand Diploma of Honour at the 1927 Madrid Christmas Fair and the 1927 Barcelona Hotel Exhibition, and the Grand Prize of Honour at the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition.

This is an exceptional wine, with a very limited production. It is a wine with a dark red colour, with a garnet rim, tending towards a high tartaric colour. It is made from 80% Garnacha, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carignan and Garnacha Blanca. Predominance of ripe forest fruits and compote. Balanced and intense.Álvaro Palacios arrives in the Priorat, specifically in the town of Gratallops, with a group of local producers with the intention of transmitting in his wines all the character of this land, full of clear essences, Mediterranean sun, cliffs and slate, fennel and olive groves, a land with a mystical soul, with a past linked to the Carthusian monks, who developed the culture of the vine for more than six centuries. Its vineyards, old Garnacha vines, enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with more than 3,000 hours of sunshine, an annual rainfall of less than 380 mm, and the proximity of the sea, which gives it the coolness of the garbinada in summer.

A bottle Château Margaux Premier Grand vin 1978, Margaux, Bordeaux, France.Category: red wine.75 cl.Level: E.Château Margaux embodies rigour, finesse and elegance. With its wines and its magnificent architecture, Château Margaux is one of the legendary Crus, sensual, full-blooded and worked by men in an exceptional terroir. It is one of the four of the four wines included in the first crus category in the Official Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855. The estate, located in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, has been occupied since the 12th century, but did not begin to produce wine in any significant way until the 16th century, with the arrival of the Lestonnac family. Usually, Château Margaux wine is made from 75% Caubernet Sauvignon grapes, 20% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It is one of the most expensive wines in the world, and around 30,000 cases are produced per year, with production split between the famous Premier Cru and the second wine Pavillon Rouge. A small amount of Sauvignon Blanc is also grown to make the Pauvillon Blanc wine. The average age of the vines at Château Margaux is thirty-five years.

Two bottles of Château Cantemerle 1996, Haut Medoc Bordeaux, France.Category: Red wine.75 cl.Level: A-B.Château Cantemerle is a winery in the Haut-Médoc appellation of the Bordeaux wine region of France, in the commune of Macau. The wine produced here was the final property to be classified as one of the eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) in the Official Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855. Its absence from the classification map presented at the 1855 Paris Exposition Universelle generated some controversy, although it has been included on all maps published after 1855. Some sources will include an asterisk next to the listing of Château Cantemerle in reference to this controversy. The estate has a long history in the Haut-Médoc with records detailing its existence since at least the 12th century and wine production since at least the 14th century. In the 19th century, the estate was severely affected by the phylloxera epidemic and mildew vine attacks, after which production was reduced by almost 50%. Towards the end of the 20th century, the estate was sold to the French insurance group Les Mutuelles d'Assurance du Bâtiment et des Travaux Public, which has contributed significant investment in the estate's vineyards and winemaking facilities.
