* A Minton Parian figure of ‘Hebe as cup-bearer’, after Canova, c. 1869, classical style maiden holding a wine jug and drinking vessel, her headband, the wine jug and her clothing, unusually, all coloured in blue, integral circular base, with impressed title, manufacturer’s name and possible year mark for 1869, height 14.25ins (36cm). A rare figure, Canova’s ‘Dancer’ is more frequently encountered. Condition: the cup and fingers around it have possibly been repaired, there is a small flaw on the left elbow and a small chip to the lower rim of the base. (1)
