TOPSHAM SEALED WINE BOTTLE. 9.25ins tall, c.1770-80 dark olive green glass, applied string rim, seal with ‘WM/ WOOD/ TOPSHM’ base pontil. Provenance -Topsham (St Margaret) a market town and parish in Devon south east of Exeter. Several same surnames recorded in the burial list for Topsham 1714-1837. (Associated seals - DBD (Daniel Bishop Davey of Topsham - dated and undated seal variations). Fantastic black glass ‘gem’. Extremely good. NR

Two round lacquered boxes with painted lids, 4½ ins (11 cms) in diameter. A small early Victorian serpentine edged tôleware cake basket painted with floral bouquet. A small 18th Century Tortoiseshell and leather clad patch box with inset oval miniature portrait of a lady to the lid, 3 ins (7.5 cms) in diameter. A gilt metal travelling writing set with candle, inkwell and pen stand encased in an oval leather box. A leather clad travelling inkwell and vesta case.
An Ale Glass with wrythen funnel bowl 5 ins (13 cms) in height, two funnel-bowled wine glasses 5 ins (13 cms) and 4½ ins (11.5 cms) in height and a pair of a Georgian style wine glasses having round funnel bowls on air-twist stems with a central red thread surrounded by a five-strand opaque spiral and folded foot rims, 5¾ ins (14.5 cms) in height (one A/F).
