Some wear, discoloration, and partial tags affixed to the wooden box. Wear to the ties.
Imperial Yongzheng Chinese mother-of-pearl inlaid wine cup, possibly a sample. The intricately detailed yet subtle form and the interior gilt are positive signs for imperial, and the exclusive geometric patterns of six different panels are best appreciated in the Yongzheng period.Height: 1/2 in x diameter: 2 in.Condition: No major bends, breaks or restorations. There are few minute losses to the mother-of-pearl inlay particularly along the lower rim. There is light wear to the exterior throughout. There is a minute spot along the exterior which may be an accretion or a small restoration attempt. Light wear to the footrim.
