A William IV silver wine cooler of campana urn form, the rim cast with flowers and scrolls above a pair of similarly decorated scroll handles, the lower body chased and worked in relief with flowers and leaves on a knop stem and foliate moulded shaped circular foot, London 1835 by Edward, Edward Junior, John and William Barnard, height approx 33cm.
A triple ring neck cut glass decanter, early 19th Century, with associated stopper, another decanter and stopper, four wine glasses, and a collection of ceramics, including two Royal Doulton series ware plates, a ewer, a jug, a Burleigh Ware vase, a Noritake vase and a bisque figure (faults and repairs).
A set of six champagne saucers with star cut decoration, a late 18th Century wine glass, the bucket bowl engraved with a bird, thistle and rose on a central knop stem and conical foot, a Poole pottery blue glazed vase of ovoid form decorated with iridescent splashes and two Poole pottery models of bears.
A pair of William IV silver circular wine coasters by Robert Garrard II, London 1832, the sides pierced with anthemion and scrolls between moulded borders, the silver interiors engraved with a crest, the bases wood inset, 14.5cm (5 3/4in) diameter, loaded. The crest of CARY-ELWES and of PONSONBY-FANE.
A Charles I silver wine cup or goblet, maker`s mark `WC`, a heart and two pellets below in a shaped shield, London 1647, with a plain slightly tapering bowl, on a plain baluster stem with a broad flattish conical foot, pricked with initials `IK`, 16.5cm (6 1/2in) high, 265g (8.5 oz). See Jackson (3rd edition), p.122 for a maker`s mark of `WC` with a heart below in a shaped shield recorded up until 1641. The mark on the present lot may be a later, unrecorded, mark of the same maker who specialised in cups. The lion passant on the bowl and under the foot are the same and seem unrecorded.
