This edition not in Vicaire, Arber, Brunet, Graesse, Wellcome, Osler or Simon 'Bibliotheca Bacchica'. Bitting lists a 1558. edition. (1)

An attractive Chinese Imari wine pot, the large globular body with moulded panels above lappets and a short straight neck, decorated in underglaze-blue, rouge-de-fer and gilding, with flowering plants in jardinieres, between cross-hatched and diaper bands, some panels with birds picked out in enamels. 7.75in. (19.5cm.) high. 18th century.
A very unusual Japanese porcelain Imari wine ewer and cover, the hexagonal ovoid body moulded with stylised kiku and applied with loop handle and straight spout, decorated in typical palette with landscape scenes, the sleeve cover surmounted with a knop in the form of a Sambasso dancer. (28cm.) high. Circa 1700.
