A collection of Chinese porcelain, comprising: a famille verte cup, Kangxi (1662-1722), of bell form, painted with Li Bai seated by wine vessels, 8.5cm high, a famille rose box and cover, of circular form, painted with boys in a garden, surrounded by florets against a turquoise ground, 9cm diameter, a famille rose tea bowl and cover, painted with dragons amongst clouds, six-character Guangxu mark, 10.7cm diameter, and another, similar, with figures, 10.8cm diameter (7)Condition report: Cup - chipped and cracked, Box - cover with a star crack, a hairline crack to rim. Frits to rims. Surface scratches throughout. Bowl and cover with dragons - cover chipped to rim, a star crack to the side. Bowl with a small firing crack to rim, frits to foot rim.Bowl and cover with figures - bowl with hairline crack to rim.
A pair of Chinese famille rose vases and covers,c.1870, each of rectangular form, painted in the wushuangpu style with renowned historical figures, inscriptions of their stories above, surrounded by pheasants, foliage, peaches, pomegranates and finger citrons, the handles with two deities on a lotus stand, each domed cover similarly decorated with Li Bai seated on top drinking wine, 54.5 and 55cm high (4)清约1870年 粉彩无双谱连盖瓶 一对Condition report: One with restoration to neck, base and both handles.The other one with rim and neck restored.Both vases slightly off centre, enamel losses. Both covers restored. One cover with a glaze chip to edge and minute chips to cup of finial, a small chip to rim fitting.

INSCRIBED ARCHAIC BRONZE RITUAL WINE VESSEL, ZHI LATE SHANG DYNASTY, 12TH-11TH CENTURY BC of slender cylindrical form, the elongated pear-shaped body supported on a tall spreading foot and rising to a flaring mouth, the neck encircled by a double band, the inner foot cast with a two-character pictogram 'Zu Ding (ancestor Ding)', the patina of a mottled malachite-green colour with traces of cuprite (Dimensions: 15.2cm high) (Qty: 1)(15.2cm high)Qty: (1)Footnote: Provenance: formerly in the collection of Luz Papasian (1915- 2013), New York Note: Bronze ritual vessels, such as this Zhi, would be filled with food and wine and set out in a form of communal banquet for the ancestors to come and share with their living descendants. This vessel remarkably preserves the very name of the individual to whom it was dedicated, 'Zu Ding (ancestor Ding)', which was cast on the inner foot.
