From the collection of Valerie Leon - Last Of The Summer Wine - Frank Thornton - a personal photograph from Ms Leon's collection depicting herself with British actor Frank Thornton on the set of Last Of The Summer Wine and also from a dinner event. Accompanying the photographs is a signed menu from a Heritage Foundation event 'Frank Thornton & Friends', signed to the top right corner ' To Valerie with my love Frank Thornton '. Ms Leon worked with Thornton several times, including an appearance in Last Of The Summer Wine.
Two trays of mixed silver plated items to include three entree dishes with covers, wine coasters, seven bar toast rack with gadrooned stand and a hip flask etc (two trays). Wine coasters worn to the base metal. Some other lighter wear throughout. No noted splits, holes or repair. Various EPNS marks and mixture of makers. No engraving.
A tray of mainly antique glass including Georgian decanters, a jug, eye bath, wine rinser and an Art Nouveau metal biscuit box with glass liner (one tray). Tall slender decanter with chips to the collar and the base of the stopper. Largest decanter and 2nd smallest with chipping to the stoppers. Jug and eyebath in good order. The glass from the biscuit box is good but the metal tarnished. Decanters early 19th century, bicuit box late 19th / early 20th century, eyebath later.

Tutuola (Amos) The Palm Wine Drinkard, first edition, light browning to endpapers, original cloth, very light rubbing and fading to tips of spine and corners, dust-jacket, designed by Barnett Freedman, minor chipping and creasing to spine ends and corners, with neat tape repair on verso to head of spine and one corner, light creasing to head, a bright and excellent example, 8vo, 1952.⁂ Tutuola's first book and the first African novel published in English outside of Africa. The Palm Wine Drinkard was reviewed enthusiastically by Dylan Thomas and was translated into French by Raymond Queneau.

An 18th-century high punted green glass wine bottle, with globular mallet form body and string rim. 24 cm high. Together with a late 18th early 19th-century green glass wine bottle, of perpendicular form.Condition report: Small chips to rim of the larger bottle, the other is smooth. Both with surface scratches visible to surfaces, but no cracks.

The lampwork piece has some small losses and one bird is missing the majority of its tail feathers. All other items appear to be free from any obvious faults or damage.
