IRISH DATED SEALED SQUAT CYLINDER WINE BOTTLE. (DB vol 2 pg 823 - Wm Phair was born in Gortalough, Killeshandra, Co Cavan, Ireland c. 1780 & had a son, also William, in 1802) 9ins tall, dark olive green glass, applied collar lip, base pontil. The very well struck, large/ ‘gloppy’, seal reads W. PHALR/ 1802. Very good. (9/10)
ALLOA SEALED WINE BOTTLE. (DB Vol pg 86) Dark olive green glass, wide bodied cylinder, slightly flared tooled lip, 4 rigaree ribbons to sides, seal with masonic symbols, square & compass etc. Sharp ring pontil base mark. The most detailed & crisply struck seal I’ve ever come across & as good a piece of Alloa as I’ve come across. Very good. (9/10)
MAGNUM (?) SEALED ONION WINE BOTTLE. (DB Vol 3 pg 1450 - a FULL page devoted to this important survivor - see below) 10.5ins tall, dark olive green glass, tapered neck with applied string rim, maximum body width 9.5ins. Wonderful, atypical, pontil base of the period. Winchester Arms pictorial seal with 3 swords in pile, points in base, pommel and hilts with elaborate mantling. Some damage to string rim most possibly done during decorking over the years of use. Another magnificent & highly significant piece of early glass which it is a true privilege to present on this auspicious occasion! (9/10)

A Georgian wine glass, the bowl wheel engraved with a bird, possibly a Chinese Ho Ho bird, and flowers, circa 1790, rough pontil to base, together with two similar Victorian examples, one circa 1850, the other circa 1880, both bowls engraved, one with trailing vines and bunches of grapes. (3)
