A Chinese Imari wine pot and cover, the globular body applied with a faceted spout and simple loop handle, decorated in underglaze blue, rouge-de-fer and gilding with landscape vignettes against a ground of prunus and bamboo, the flat lid similarly decorated and surmounted with a columnar knop, with safety chain, 11.8cm high, 18th century. Provenance: The property of a lady.
A Chinese Export serving dish of lobed, oval form, decorated with with a central reserve panel of a female figure seated on a carpet drinking wine attended by two figures, all within rococo borders in rich gilding with puce landscape panels and green and blue roundels of waves, as she is being served wine by a servant, 41.5cm wide, Qianlong period. A very similar dish was sold in these rooms 21st November 2012.
A Chinese famille rose wine pot and cover, the cylindrical body with simple spout and fitted with a metal overhead handle, decorated in overglaze enamels with children playing within a fenced garden, with floral and keyfret bands, base with a gourd-shaped seal Jia zi Duo fu duo shu Tang zhi (Hall of Abundant Happiness and Longevity), the flat cover with a twin peach knop, height 15.5cm, late 19th/early 20th century.
