This handsome work gains considerable coloristic interest by the artist`s inclusion of the tall plant, standing beside the table to the right.

A Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica porcelain wine cooler, 20th century, with floral encrusted twin loop handles, handpainted with botanical decoration of violas, the base with specimen title, painted number 20/3521 and printed factory marks, 16cm high, 26cm wide overall Footnote: Flora Danica was originally commissioned by the Danish Royal Household as a gift for Catherine the Great of Russia, and the pattern proved so popular that it is still produced by Royal Copenhagen today.
