A CHINESE THREE-COLOUR OVERLAY GLASS BOTTLE VASE AND A PAIR OF WHITE GLASS WINE CUPS QING DYNASTY The vase carved through blue, green and red glass to an opaque white ground, decorated with four lion dogs playing with beribboned brocade balls, the wine cups with deep U-shaped bodies rising from short straight feet and flaring at the rims, each cup with a reticulated wood stand, 14.7cm max. (5) Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
Late 18th/early 19th Century Dutch marquetry wine cooler, overall copiously decorated with floral inlays and having two brass carrying handles, zinc lined interior on triangular tapering legs with ceramic casters. 65 x 52 x 64cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) A little dry and lacking in finish. Possibly faded in places, minor splits and surface wear, odd small stains commensurate with age.

A bell bowl wine glass, the multi-strand mercury or air twist stem with large inverted baluster shoulder knop over a smaller medial knop and basal cushion knop, terminating in a wide conical folded foot, unground pontil, 16.5cm high CONDITION REPORT:The glass shows expected fine surface wear, but no visible chips cracks or losses. The base of the bowl shows a series of fine air bubbles. The foot shows a small dirt ingrained pit surrounded by further ingrained dirt.
An ogee bowl cordial glass, the faceted bowl on tapering faceted stem terminating in conical foot, unground pontil, 13.5cm high, with an engraved ogee bowl wine glass, the bowl with engraved and cut swags above wide basal fluting, on diamond faceted stem terminating in conical foot (chipped and ground), unground pontil, 12.5cm high (2) CONDITION REPORT:Both glasses show expected fine surface wear. The taller glass shows some bruising to the bowl, and a series of air bubbles to the foot rim. The shorter glass shows chipping and grinding to the foot rim.

Peter John Sallis OBE (1 February 1921 - 2 June 2017) was a British actor. He is known for his work in television. He was the voice of Wallace in the Academy Award winning Wallace and Gromit films and played Norman Cleggy Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine from its 1973 inception until the final episode in 2010, making him the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes. Additionally, he portrayed Norman Clegg's father in the prequel series First of the Summer Wine. A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE BISCUIT MODEL OF LI BAI KANGXI 1662-1722 The famous poet wears a voluminous green robe, decorated with large butterflies and civil rank badges, he slumbers beside a large wine pot formed as a peach and moulded with leaves, his eyes closed and his hair arranged in two topknots, with a paper label for Berwald, London, to the base, 20cm. Li Bai, the celebrated Tang Dynasty poet, was famed for his excessive consumption of wine. He allegedly drowned in 726 A.D. after leaning over the edge of a boat in a drunken effort to embrace the reflection of the moon. Provenance: formerly in the collection of Baron Fould-Springer, Royaumont Abbatial Palace, France, later from a British private collection, purchased from Berwald Oriental Art Ltd., 5th November 2003. A PAIR OF FINE CHINESE IMPERIAL IRON-RED 'DRAGON' WINE CUPS SIX CHARACTER GUANGXU MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD 1875-1908 Each with a deep body rising from a tapered foot to a gently flared rim, both finely painted with two menacing five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, surrounded by stylised clouds, one beast looking back in fury at his pursuer, all above crashing waves, 4.8cm.
