From the wine cellar of a historical restaurant on the Tuscan hills. Giuseppe Mazzocolin, Domenico Poggiali’s son-in-law, who bought the Fattoria in 1966, was the soul and the inspirer of the excellent wines this company has been producing since the Eighties. Giuseppe really trusted both this land, situated at the Southern end of the Classic Chianti appellation, and the Sangiovese vine, which he put at the centre of his project. Fontalloro is his masterpiece; it expresses the fruity warmth of this territory, as well as its unrivalled elegance. From the wine cellar of a Tuscan restaurant. Montevertine probably needs no introduction, as its labels have been successful worldwide over the last few years. They are extremely pure and elegant Sangiovese wines, with a unique local character. This lot includes two vintages with excellent organoleptic value: 1985 and 1988. Just a step below the others, but still very interesting, given the average quality of this producer.
