Lot 835

A pair of Majolica wine coolers, 19th century, each with shaped rim and two putti wrapped in drapes and relief moulded leaves all on a domed circular base, typical colours of greens, yellows and mauve, one impressed with the letter "E" to the underside. Diameter 50 cm, height 38.5 cm (see illustration).

Lot 843

Nineteen wine glasses, and a short vase, 19th century. Tallest 14.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One small rummer has a chip to the foot rim. The faceted vase has small chips throughout the rim. All of the glasses appear to be from any obvious chips or flaws .

Lot 844

Glassware, 19th century, to include two Georgian spirit decanters, large rummer, large wheel cut goblet, moulded glass jug and bubble glass wine glass with wheel etched war trophies above legend "Floreat Arma Casarea", a Roemer and custard cups. Tallest 22 cm (14). CONDITION REPORT: Both decanters are in good order with no obvious flaws, the large wheel etched vase is in good order with no obvious faults. The large roemer is in good order. The bubble glass has a tiny chip to the foot rim. The amber glass roemer has extensive damage and repairs to the foot. Two of the faceted custard cups have small chips to the interior rim. The set of three custard cups are in good order. The press moulded jug is in good order.

Lot 943

A pair of Bristol green wine glasses, late 18th/early 19th century, with gilt decoration in the manner of James Giles, with faceted panelled bowl and stem on a circular foot. Height 14.2 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One glass has a small inside edge chip to the top rim through and just below the gilt line. There are several other very small nibbles to the inside edge of the top rim but as these still have evidence of the original gilding they are probably part of the original finish. The second glass similarly has very small nibbles to the inside edge of the top rim but again these still have traces of gilding. The gilding is generally rubbed to both glasses particularly around the top rim both inside and to a greater extent outside. Approximately 40% of the gilding to the faceted bowls is rubbed. Other than this there is no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
