Engraved drawn ale glass, the trumpet bowl engraved with ears and leaves of barley above drop shaped tear, on conical foot, mid 18th Century, height 21cms. PROVENANCE William MacAdam BADA, 10 September 1999, £375. NOTE The majority of engraved ale glasses show both hops and barley, this glass being engraved with barley only. It has been suggested that this category of glasses were intended for barley wine.
Engraved composite stem wine glass, the drawn trumpet bowl with fruiting vines, the grapes as polished circles above multiple spiral air-twist stem extending to beaded knop, on similarly engraved conical foot, mid 18th Century, height 17.1cms.
