Militaria Interest: A Victorian wine ewer and a pair of matching wine goblets, of Neo Classical form decorated with bead borders and applied cast stiff leaves and foliate festoons, each engraved with the badge of the "Second Somerset Militia", their motto "DEFENDEMUS" and the inscription "presented by Major William Barrett, 10 May 1871", by Grinsell & Bourne, Birmingham 1870, the goblets 8.75in (22.5cm) high, the ewer 11.7in (29.5cm) high, 78oz.
