Benedictine was developed by French wine merchant Alexandre Le Grand in 1863. The liquor is produced from flowers, berries, herbs, roots, and spices, and was initially marketed to be developed by monks at the Benedictine Abbey of Fecamp in Normandy, France. Good condition, creasing and small tears on edges. Country of issue: France, designer: Mariscal, size (cm): 97x67, year of printing: 1993

Original vintage advertising poster – Le Nouveau Beaujolais de Georges Duboeuf Est Arrive / Georges Duboeuf’s Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Has Arrived! The image shows a woman in red lipstick and a red evening dress on a yellow and blue background next to a glass of red wine with stylised red, blue, yellow and orange text. Beaujolais nouveau is a red nouveau wine / vin de primeur – a wine that is released in the same year it is harvested. Produced in the Beaujolais region of France, it is famously released for sale on the third Thursday of November. Strict rules established by the Institut National des Appellations d’Origine exact that the wine may not be sold before this date – in the 1960s, this led to races to sell the first bottle in Paris, and races amongst English driving clubs to bring home the most bottles of the nouveau wine. Les Vins Georges Duboeuf is a French family-run wine merchant. Good condition, repaired tears, pinholes, creasing. Country of issue: France, designer: Chamlas, size (cm): 76x56, year of printing: 1996
