It is very representative of the characteristic licorella (slate) terroir of this D.O. A powerful wine with a great ageing capacity. Vina Von Siebenthal Montelig - Aroma and bouquet: Intense persistent and with good complexity. At the forefront before swirling are berries in particular raspberry and cassis. Once swirled there are subtle hints of mint and boldo interwined with pleasant hints of green olive pinenut black pepper dark chocolate and truffle. These aromas come together armoniously and beautifully lending the wine great complexity and elegance. Flavour: Velvety start which denots great concentration of aromas and a very flavoursome and complex character. The flavour is consistent with good body harmonious and with a large fresh and elegant ending.

Aalborg Taffel is a classic Aquavit, released in 1846. It has a lovely caraway, citrus flavour, and was heralded as Best Aquavit in the World at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition. Fireball is a fiery and delicious liqueur made with Canadian whisky and cinnamon. Loads of complexity, and it was awarded 87 points by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago. The Briottet is a delicious gingerbread liqueur from Edmond Briottet. Liqueur de Pain d'Epices is great when mixed with ice cream, or you can use it to make a liqueur coffee. Poire William Liqueur from Giffard is made by infusing william pears with Poire William Brandy. This is a natural, fresh tasting pear liqueur, made in France. If you've had even the slightest experience with cocktail making (or cocktail drinking, for that matter), you've likely come into contact with the excellent Curaçao Triple Sec from Bols, potentially one of the oldest spirit brands in the world. Dolin vermouths are made with a high proportion of wine as well as fresh herbs and plants local to Chambéry. They are also sweetened with real sugar, which gives the finished vermouth a more natural sweetness in comparison to many artificially sweetened competitors. Elysian Fields Bacchus Barn Owl - It is pale lemon in colour with gentle floral notes and a dash of citrus. It is medium dry with well balanced acidity and layers of well rounded fruit. There is depth to this wine and it will continue to mature and drink well for up to three years. Vergelegen Premium Chardonnay - Pale green-gold colour with intensely focused flavours showing citrus, biscuits, toast and ripe fruits. The taste is long and elegant with excellent fruit / wood integration.

A mixed group of three ladles, or simpuli, comprising: one with spherical bowl, extended flat handle recurved with terminal in the form of a horned ibex head, pointed wings to the handle and rim, stippled design to the handle and concentric circles to the outer bowl; one with spherical bowl, round-section balustered handle recurved with terminal in the form of a horned ibex head, foliate pattern to the rim; and one with flat base and everted flat rim, tapering flat handle recurved with scrolling arms to the rim and neck, and gently curved terminal. Cf. Boucher, S. Inventaire des Collections Publiques Françaises - 17 Vienne: Bronzes Antiques, Paris, 1971, item 374 for type. 385 grams total, 20.5-25cm (8 - 9 3/4"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965. The simpulum, a bronze ladle, played a major role in Roman libation ceremonies where liquid - most often wine, milk or olive oil - was offered to the gods. The hooks commonly found on the rim of the bowl would have allowed the ladle to hang in a libation jug. Decorative terminals were typical, most often depicting the head of a bird, wolf or horned animal. [3] Fine condition.

A silver-gilt goblet with bell-shaped foot, bulb to the stem, deep bowl, surface decorated with polychrome enamelled plaques and tendrils, stars of David, facetted garnet cabochons, probably a Kiddush cup used for blessing wine on Friday evenings. 343 grams, 17.7cm (7").
