A Regency mahogany and ebony strung wine cooler or jardinière, circa 1815, of canted rectangular form and with removable linings, 45cm high, 75cm wide, 49cm deep Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, HerefordshireCondition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use Evidence of old worm and water stains Lacking one brass caster The zinc lined interior worn, lifting and with splits. With a later shallow two handled metal liner tray and a later brass liner with no base. One section of mahogany banding detached from the inner edge, some repairs Lacking some sections of ebony stringing Mottled water marks.
