A pair of George III silver wine bottle coasters, with gadrooned bodies and flower and scroll decorated edges, and turned wooden bases, by John & Thomas Settle, Sheffield 1818, 16cm wide. (2)The rims are slightly mis-shapen. Marks are reasonably clear. They both have engraved initials J.F.S to lower edges.

Meiping vase; China, 19th century.Porcelain.Measurements: 25 x 8 cm.Meiping vase made of enamelled porcelain whose decoration is based on the combination of white and blue. The "meiping" shape means apricot or plum vase, as it traditionally contained apricot branches, and is distinguished by its narrow base and mouth and wide body. Meiping were first made by the Tang dynasty (618-907), originally used as a vessel for wine, and then became a floral vase in the Song dynasty (960-1279).
Interesting Wine Bottle Holder from the Officers Mess of the Admiral Scheer, interesting 800 silver marked wine bottle holder made by the famous German Third Reich period silversmith Wellner, famous for making the silverware for the Reich Chancellery and the Adolf Hitler formal silverware. The holder with anchor to the centre and the reverse engraved “Admiral Scheer”. Accompanied by a black and white image of a sailor wearing the cap tally of the Admiral Scheer. (2 items)
