An engraved facet-stemmed wine glass, the round funnel bowl decorated with a chinoiserie band with scale-cut lower section, supported on a centrally knopped stem cut with diamonds, on a conical foot, 15.5cm high, circa 1790 (foot chipped, broken and repaired). Provenance: Formerly Anthony Waugh Collection, Sothebys, 28th April 1980, lot 193 and the Royal Briarly Collection, Sothebys, 3rd March 1998, lot 51 and Honeybourne Museum label no.81.
A pair of Stourbridge engraved armorial decanters and ball stoppers, with slender cylindrical necks and compressed globular bodies, engraved with a foliate band, coronet and monogram and a gryphon statant, 25cm high; and four wine glasses ensuite, late 19th century. Provenance: The crest is for Craven, Earl of and purchased by the current vendor from the estate.
