A Chinese 17th century incised Dehua wine cup. The blanc de Chine cup raised on a shallow foot with slight everting rim, all covered in a creamy white glaze. To the body there's poetic inscription reading 'shang qingmei liang yue' meaning to gaze at, or to appreciate the beautiful moon. From a Private CollectionA St. James's (Charles Gouyn) porcelain gold mounted scent snuff box / scent bottle and stopper circa 1749-60modelled as harlequin standing holding a cup of wine standing next to a barrel with gold mounted thread fitting cover, his masked head forming the stopper, decorated with sprigs, sprays of flowers and cherries in colour enamel probably in the workshop of James Giles, concave base painted with a bouquet, chased gold mountsheight 9 cm.Condition: No signs of damage or restoration. Enamelling is slightly rubbed / flaking to areas of the patchwork. A modern Georg Jensen Danish Sterllng silver grape gobletdesign 263A in Amethyst, the goblet bowl with hanging grape branches beneath inset with amethysts , supported by twisted stem, marked, "Denmark Sterling" and numbered 'N11' '925S' and '263A', further marks with original velvet lined 'Georg Jensen Heritage' boxheight 17.5cm approximately, total weight approximately 12.19oztCondition: Apparently unused condition within original box. The signature Georg Jensen Grape design was first introduced in 1918. The '263A' wine goblet was added to the collection in 1980, with a design based upon the Grape Candlestick. The goblet was made available in three versions; amethyst, ruby and plain.
