SECOND WORLD WAR AVIATION - A UNIQUE CHROME WINE GOBLET made by the former owner Pilot Officer McKinnie (Halifaxes) to serve as a 'relief tube' for use on flying operations, 18cm high. Provenance: Given to Warner Dailey in September 2005 by antique dealer Robin Challis of Greenwich who obtained it from the pilot's son. A letter with history is included in this lot.

JACK BADER (1910-1987) "Still life study with bottles", oil on canvas, signed and dated '39 bottom left, inscribed on artist's label and to stretcher verso, 56 cm x 46 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Colours good and bright, oil has some craqueleur throughout particularly to the background area, and small areas of paint loss to the left-hand side of the wine glass, frame basically sound though with paint marks, knocks, scratches, etc. verso, three screws secured to the top edge, paintwork to frame with some scratching and white dotting to the top edge - probably spider droppings (see images).
Two early green glass bulbous bodied wine bottles, together with a brown glass wine bottle of tapering cylindrical form, green glass bottle 27.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS One of the green wine bottles is broken and cracked and has old brown fabric type tape holding it together, other green bottle has some wear and scuffs and various bubbles and blemishes. Tapering cylindrical bottle has some wear and scuffs, and some chips and bruises.
