A very rare early 19c. 24" Soho slide rule by W & S JONES No 30 Holborn London. The rule has Soho scales on one side, sub-divided inches on both edges and on the reverse, gauge point tables of volume and weights of ale, wine, gold, mercury, air etc. also four plain scales of inches, halves, thirds and quarters and two lines of chords. A rule marked 25" to 47" under the slide and logarithmic scales on the reverse of the slide.
