CHATEAU SANSONNET 2005 Saint Emilion Grand Cru, 12 bottles (cased) Situated on the highest level in the region and famous for its seductive rounded and perfectly made wines. Some consider this to be the best ever Sansonnet in recent decades. The wine will keep but as with most right bank wines the preponderance of Merlot in the blend means less long ageing tannins. It will keep for another couple of years but it is perfect to enjoy now. It has a beautiful nose a deep colour and has spicy notes, hints of coffee, supported by dark fruit. Wine Spectator 93/100

Jackson with ogee bowls, inverted baluster stems and plain feet, and two in dark green designed by Harry Powell, one with slight ribbing. (7)
