An early Chinese blue and white Ewer/Wine Jug decorated with figures seated in a waterside garden being served tea beneath overhanging weeping Willow branches near a rocky outcrop with adjacent Ferns, under a backdrop with a mountain visible above a sea of mist and having clouds depicted on the loop handle. Paper label to base, ''The Miller Collection No. 23'' Small chip to rim. 6 3/4'' tall.
A very large mid-18th century wine goblet circa 1740, with round funnel bowl on inverted baluster stem with angular knop, containing an extended teardrop, on domed and folded foot, 24cm. high. Condition: Crack to base of bowl caused during manufacture. Burst bubble to side of bowl and firing inclusion imperfection to foot, both from the making.
Three mid-18th century air twist wine glasses comprising: a wine glass with waisted bell bowl on shoulder and base knop, multi spiral air twist stem with a pair of heavy spiral threads outside a multi corkscrew, on conical foot, 18cm. high; an ale glass with elongated round funnel bowl on stem containing eight spiral threads outside gauze, on conical foot, 19cm. high; and a wine glass with bell bowl with flared basal flutes on multi spiral air twist stem, consisting of corkscrew spiral tape outside loose spiral gauze, conical foot, 15.5cm. high. (3) Condition: 1. Wine glass: Large chip and two small nibbles to foot. 2. Five small chips to foot. 3. Large chip and two nibbles to foot.
A set of four mid-18th century air twist wine glasses circa 1750, the round funnel bowls with everted lip, two engraved with daffodils, moth and insect decoration, one engraved with honeysuckle and moth decoration, the fourth engraved with tulip, caterpillar and moth decoration, on multi spiral air twist stems of eighteen ply spiral bands outside central vertical tapes, conical feet, 15cm. high. (4) Condition: Good, with no damage noted.
Two mid-18th century air twist wine glasses circa 1750, the first with ogee bowl engraved with rose in bud and bird in flight, on multi spiral opaque twist stem consisting of six ply spiral bands outside multi ply corkscrew, on conical foot, 15cm. high; the second with bell bowl decorated with bird, trailing vine and grapes, unusual tear decor to base of bowl, multi spiral opaque twist stem consisting of pair of heavy spiral threads outside lace twist, on conical foot, 18.5cm. high. (2) Condition: 1. Ogee bowl: Chip and nibble to foot. 2. Bell bowl: Small chip to foot.
