A pair of George III silver wine coasters by Samuel Herbert & Co., London, 1766, the sides pierced withn interlinked bow motifs and incorporating vacant reserves, gadroon rims, wood bases, 12.2 cm. diameter.No repairs to piercing. Marked in the piercing. Maker's mark and date letter are only legible on one along with lion passant and leopard's head, on the other the maker's mark not visible but the other 3 marks are legible.
