A pair of mid-19th century Rococo Revival gilt brass four light candelabra, each with attendant Meissen porcelain musician figures as a gallant and his lady after the originals by Johann Joachim Kändler, each decorated in bright enamels, both with underglaze blue crossed sword mark verso, the female with incised numerals 1352, gross h.69cm, male h.32cm (a/f) Condition Report / Extra Information Male - hairlines running through both thighs and across back of tunic, loss to left index finger, chip to top of tricorn hat, loss to lower section of flute, wine bottle in pocket has been re-stuck, chipped losses to floral decoration, loss to top of bagpipe, chipped loss to left cuff approx 10x8mm.Female - losses to all four right fingers, chip to top of headscarf, chips to base, chip to back of skirt.Enamels and gilt to both figures generally good-very good.Candelabra - both with old solder repairs halfway up columns, one with later further repair, some tarnishing.
