2006 Cornas Reynard, Thierry Allemand, 6 x 75cl bottles, Rhone, France. Thierry Allemand has become one of the leading lights of the Northern Rhone. His long tutelage under the considerable wing of Noel Verset (1920-2015) resulted in him acquiring the Reynard vines from the Verset family from 1985. Modern production of Cornas Reynard is around 500 cases and maturing vintages are not an easy find. The present 2006 is offered in original carton. 1960s Krug Private Cuvee Brut Reserve, 1 x 150cl bottle, Champagne, France. Private Cuvee was used at Krug throughout the 1960s for both vintage and non vintage wines. This non vintage Brut Reserve is from the middle part of that decade and has been in the same family ever since. The capsule is slightly damaged on top, the reverse ullage is only 1cm and the colour appears to be sound. Removed from a custom built wine cellar. Duty Paid. Alcohol: 13%.
