A.R. (14306711) (11)Flemish School, 17th centuryFOUR PANEL PAINTINGS OF A WINGED ALTAR Each oil on oak panel. Old parquetting. 96 x 47 cm.The panel paintings are certainly the side wings of a folding altar, although conclusions regarding the main topic of the former central painting cannot be drawn. The scenes from the ministry of Jesus can be arranged chronologically: HEALING OF THE BLIND BARTIMAEUS (Mark, 10). JESUS HEALING A SICK PERSON (“Get up, take up your bed and walk!”, Mark, 2: 1-12). THE ARREST ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, depiction with Peter cutting off the ear of Malchus. THE MIRACLE OF PENTECOST.
