While some are signed or initialled, others give the place and date where the illustration was undertaken. There are a number of topographical drawings , botanical illustrations, drawings of birds including a watercolour of a bird drawn on the banks of the Ganges, 1829, miniature (drawing) of a tournament held in front of St Mark's Venice. The silhouettes appear to be Elizabeth Mitchell with one signed in full by her at Colebrooke House, others are initialled by her.

Essex House Press, 1903-1905. 8vo, ten parts bound as one, printed in red and black, decorations by Paul Woodroffe, red brown morocco with raised bands and blind-stamped trefoil decoration Provenance: Bookplate of John Morgan, an Aberdeen stonemason and Arts and Crafts enthusiast who was a friend of John Ruskin and Thomas Carlyle. An auction of his books took place in 1908. The bookplate is designed by Charles Ricketts. Note: The binding is similar to those produced by Cockerell and to those produced by the bindery of the Guild of Handicraft, for whom the collection of songs enclosed in the book were formed. It is highly possible that Morgan purchased the book from the Essex House Press in its current binding.

*Broadside. Jarvis J. (publisher), The Poor Blind Pig Man, circa 1760, hand coloured etching with sixteen lines of verse below image, stained, 310 x 195 mm A scarce portrait of a street hawker. A portly man with a cane has a basket around his neck containing model pigs, probably made of clay and designed for children. The seller has his hand on the shoulder of a young boy who acts as his guide. The image is not in the digital collection of the British Museum, but they do have a copy - acquired in 1851 - numbered 1851.0308.527. (1)
