Nameplate ROYAL LONDON SOCIETY FOR THE BLIND and Braille badge ex BR class 47 47745. Built at Crewe in November 1965, named september 1994 nameplates removed 20/07/2004. Locomotive scrapped at EWS TOTON by HNRC in August 2004. Cast aluminium In as removed condition measures 51.75in x 9.75in. Badge measures 29.75in x 7.75in. Sold on behalf of DB Cargo (UK) Ltd and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
An Early 18th Century Walnut Longcase Clock, signed Roger Penton, circa 1710, later caddy pediment, pierced blind fret work panels, side viewing windows, well figured trunk door with moulded borders, re-built plinth, 12-1/4-inch square brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed, matted dial centre with seconds dial and date aperture, crown and cherub spandrels, five latched pillars, anchor escapement, outside countwheel striking on a bell, 266cm high see illustration 06.06.19. Case with a later built caddy pediment, case needs restoration throughout, hood door with later hinges, wooden dial surround is later, hood with chips and cracks to veneers and some veneers are missing, trunk door with cracks to the top and bottom sides, half of the trunk door moulded edges are missing, plinth has been re-built, backboard is patched to the top and bottom sides, dial is dirty, movement with one dial foot not locating into the movement front plate, movement needs cleaning, with two weights and a pendulum.
