A late 17th century walnut and floral marquetry month-going longcase clock By Joseph Knibb the twin train movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, signed to the lower margin: 'Joseph Knibb Londini Fecit', the 11" brass dial with chevron engraved perimeter and cherub mask spandrels around a silvered Roman chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with date aperture, the hood with caddy top, blind fretwork friezes and spire finials above a long runk door with central armorial of a crown supported by griffins, on a stepped apron with bracket feet, the whole inlaid flower-filled jardinieres and perched birds within line inlaid and trailing vine borders 236cm high Note: Joseph Knibb was born in Oxfordshire and traded in clocks in Oxford with his brother John. The most renowned member of a renowned family he was classed as a clock, watch and turret clockmaker with Tompion and Quare and circa 1670 he moved to the 'Dyal, Serjeants Inn, Fleet St.'(later Suffolk St.) London. Knibb made many celebrated clocks including Prince Rupert's night lantern for Charles II, the turret clocks for Wadham College, and the State Entrance of Windsor Castle.

19th Century Longcase Clock, with brass arched dial, inscribed"James Scholefield, London", silvered chapter ring, secondary seconds dial and date dials, cast and embossed spandrels, with automaton in the arch, eight-day movement striking on a gong, contained within a mahogany case, with arched hood above blind fretwork frieze, turned supports, arched door with fluted pilasters and on bracket feet, 210cms, (6'2½").

An 18th Century Brass Lantern Clock. The bell held on curved bars surmounted by a finial and raised on corner posts. The fretted pediments engraved with dolphins & entwined foliage above a chapter ring encircling an engraved centre decorated with a rosette & foliage. Standing 15¾ ins (40 cms) high on a wall mounted bracket with blind fret carved frieze.
A Small Scandinavian Coffer on Wheels. The two plank edge-moulded top on iron strap hinges. The dovetailed front board having with two arched fielded panels centred by blind-fret carved ogee arches containing a triumphant cross & orb. The moulded base housing a single drawer flanked by carved geometric rosettes, and shielding the wheels. 23 ins (59 cms) in height. 32 ins (82 cms) wide, 17¾ ins (45 cms) deep.
A 30 Hour Oak Longcase Clock. The 9¾ inch (25 cm) square brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed Abdell Richmond encircling a matted centre with single handle and a calendar aperture. The corners embellished with pierced brass spandrels. The hood having a moulded cornice above a blind-fret carved frieze and integral columns flanking the glazed door. The case having a long trunk door with shaped top. 75¾ ins (190 cms) in height.

A large early Victorian silver Warwick cruet, Edward I, Edward II, James and William Barnard, London 1838-39. the frame of four eagle’s masks, acanthus and claw and ball feet, with central baluster handle and reeded shell, scroll handle, the base with similar chased border, the front with a foliate scroll and diaper work cartouche, engraved with a coat of arms, fitted with three octagonal lidded casters, each on a spreading octagonal foot, the covers and with pineapple finials, two pierced, one blind, the bodies chased with panels of shells, scrolls and flowers on a matted ground; two silver-mounted cut glass bottles, with silver neck mounts chased with scrolls and foliage and each with leaf-capped scroll handles and hinged domed covers, two casters engraved with a crest, the large caster and the bottle covers engraved with a crest and motto (6), 39cm high, 110oz/r, Heraldry: The arms are those of Darby with Grant in pretence for Francis Darby Esq. of Sunniside House, Coalbrookdale, Shropshire, and his wife Hannah, only daughter of John Grant.
