The upper glazed section with a scrolled & pierced pediment surmounted by a carved vase finial above dentil moulding & a blind-fret carved frieze over two astrigal glass doors enclosing shelves sliding into side grooves. The base section having a secrétaire drawer opening to reveal a leather insert, pigeon holes & drawers above two wide centre drawers flanked by small side drawers over a long base drawer on swept bracket feet. The flame figured drawer fronts edged in cock-beading and fitted with original locks & gilded ring handles. 101 ins (256 cms) in height, 42 ins (107 cms) in width, 20 ins (51 cms) ins maximum depth.
A George IV Mahogany Server Circa 1825, Attributed to Gillows, of fabulous quality & fine timbers. The moulded solid mahogany one-piece top surmounted by an entablature carved with a marriage crest flanked by a blind fret- carving. The fret-carving repeated along the frieze and centred by a small panel enriched with a cluster of swagged flowers & foliage. Standing on wonderful, imposing cabriole legs with foliate crested C-scrolls adorning the inner hips, acanthus lappets to the outer hips leading down to voluted scroll feet raised on square plinth terminals. 54 ins (137 cms) wide, 27 ins (69 cms) deep and 46 ins (117 cms) in height.

A pair of 18th century Worcester 'Blind Earl' pattern green painted sweetmeat dishes, 1765-70. each of circular scalloped form with a branch form handle terminating in moulded flower buds, the well with moulded leaf decoration and painted in green with pears, plums, flowers and leaves (2). 16cm wide . Note: this design of dish originated at the Chelsea porcelain factory and was produced by Worcester from the 1750s. In the 19th century the pattern was named after the Earl of Coventry who lost his sight in a riding accident. He ordered a service in this pattern so that he could feel the raised decoration.

Daniel Quare, London. A Queen Anne month going marquetry longcase clock, with five ringed pillars and striking on a bell, with a 12 inch square brass dial and silvered chapter ring inscribed 'Dan Quare London', the matt centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture having blued steel hands, with cast crown and cherub pierced spandrels, the walnut veneered case with floral marquetry panels with an ebonised ground, the hood with a tiered caddy top and blind fret friezes with corner pilasters, the rectangular trunk door with a replaced glass lenticle, the sides banded and inlaid stringing, the base panel to a moulded edge plinth, 93.5in (237cm) h; pendulum, two weights. Daniel Quare was born in Somerset in 1647 and became a Free Brother in the Clockmakers' Company in 1671 and a Master in 1708. He was a strict Quaker and refused to accept the prestigious position of clockmaker to King George I on account of not wishing to take the oath of allegiance. He was, however, received at the palace and allowed to enter by the back stairs. He died at Croydon in 1724.
