A George III mahogany and oak lined chest on chest, circa 1800, the bold cornice above a parquetry decorated frieze and inlaid patera to the corners, of two short over three long graduated drawers all between blind fret carved canted stiles, the base of three deep drawers, raised on bracket feet, 113cm by 59cm by 194cmGood cosmetic condition. Recently polished and refurbished. Side panels with various splits. Cockbeaded drawers with small repairs. Exposed section of dustboards, ie the sections between the drawers, with small sections of timber replaced. Otherwise good. 080416

The artists featured in this portfolio were chosen because they had some connection with Jesus College, for instance the works of Flanagan, Turnbull, Bellany, Irvin and McLean have been exhibited at the College, and Sir Eduardo Pailozzi was elected into an Honorary Fellowship of the college. Printed by Gresham Studio Ltd. Cambridge in an edition of 100, with 10 artist's proofs, 10 publisher's proofs, 2 G.S.L. Archive copies, 2 college exhibition copies and 2 printer's proofs All in very good condition. Very loosely stuck down to backing card, but easily removable.

A 19th Century Chippendale style urn stand, the shaped top with a spindled gallery above a blind fretwork frieze, raised on beaded triangular section legs and joined with a fret work " X " frame cross stretcher, 80 cms high. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1247 Rail on spindle gallery replaced at one corner, general staining/water marks to table top Half of the fret work broken between leg and table, late replacements General condition good.
*A Stearns & Co., of Syracuse USA, a loop frame 'Model Special' ladies bicycle having a 23-inch frame, cottered bottom bracket, dual-roller inch-pitch chain and chain wheel and 6-inch cranks and block rat trap pedals, (not fitted), a coasting rear hub, open fork crown, blind end forks, nickel-plated semi-up turned handlebars with good period grips and a small bell. A Christy type saddle with original padding but miss its leather top, a rear painted wooden mudguard and cushion rubber tyres. Currently painted orange, an easy refurbishment project (1)
*A circa 1895 'The Electric' Gentleman's Bicycle. Enamelled black with some gilt decoration, this bicycle suggests quality of manufacture with differing sized tubing, separate bottom bracket bearings, a small chain wheel, fixed single gearing and a (modern) block chain. The 22-inch frame sports blind end nickel-plated front forks, up-turned nickel-plated handlebars with cork grips, 26-inch wooden wheels with modern solid rubber lightweight tyring, 7-inch nickel-plated cranks (one not fitted) and black rubber pedals. The saddle is missing (1)
