An early Victorian gothic revival oak breakfront wardrobein the manner of Thomas King1840-1850, the larger central bay with an alternating C-scrolled and scroll-carved cruciform pediment, with detachable crocketed pinnacles, flanked by two smaller bays, each smaller bay with a crenellated pediment above a moulded cornice interspersed by rosettes, over four twin cusped arched panelled doors, each arch surmounted by two quatrefoils, the central doors enclosing five linen slides with six short raised geometric panelled drawers below, flanked by projecting blind elongated trefoil pilasters, each end bay enclosing a hanging rail and one drawer, 292cm wide x 82cm deep x 245cm high, (114 1/2in wide x 32in deep x 96in high)Footnotes:The design of the present lot appears to be an interesting variation of three comparable gothic revival drawings for cabinets and wardrobes executed by Thomas King and first featured in King's 1835 publication, The Cabinet Maker's Sketch Book, Vol.'s I and II. A 17th century and later style brass lantern clock, with fusee movement and anchor escapement, the large dial with roman numerals surrounded by a square plate of blind fretwork decoration below a sun face medallion, 15.5cm wide x 10.5cm deep x 28cm highCondition report: Key present but not sold as working. Pendulum snapped but present, dome top detached from finials on two out of four sides. Would benefit from a clean.

India.- A Collection of 10 plates of scenes in India, ?from Giulio Ferrario's 'Il Costume Antico e Moderno... l'America', aquatint with hand-colouring, each sheet 235 x 340mm (9 1/4 x 13 1/2 in), some blind-stamps to bottom right-hand corner, short marginal tears, surface dirt, and some staining, largely not affecting image, unframed, [19th century].⁂ ?From Giulio Ferrario's Il Costume Antico e Moderno... l'America, published in Milan in 21 vol., with the work appearing in Italian and French.
