A late 18th Century oak and mahogany crossbanded thirty hour longcase clock, Barker of WiganHaving a 11" silvered bezel painted with Roman and Arabic numerals enclosing a silvered subsidiary second dial and a date aperture, the dial embraced by applied scrolling leafy openwork spandrels and with a thirty hour movement striking on a saucer bell, the case with a flat top above a blind fretwork frieze and a pair of tapering turned cylindrical columns flanking the glazed hood door, above a shaped and crossbanded door, flanked by quarter ring turned columns over a conforming crossbanded lower panel, raised on ogee bracket feet, 213cm high with one weight and pendulum.
