Gregorius Nazianzus, Eusebius of Caesarea (who published together an anthology of Origen`s works, "Origen`s Philocalia") and Gregorius Nyssenus resumed the same idea. Followed by letters from Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna and saint Anthony. The second part of the volume consists of different versions of the works of the Pseudo-Dionysius (by John Scottus Eriugenia, John Sarracenus, Ambrosius the Camaldules and Godefroy Tilman) and at the end the "Apologia ostenden beatum dionysium", the Pseudo-Dionysius` life by Battista Spagnoli and finally the "Martyrium" translated from the Greek into Latin. The Pseudo-Dionysius whom the identity is not clear and sure, is probably a Syrian monk who lived around 500 and is one of the important sources for the Christian spirituality. He was also identified as Saint Denis of Paris, 1st bishop of the town tortured in 300, or as Denis the Athenian like in the Acts of the Apostles.
