Early 20th Century Chippendale Revival mahogany centre table, the serpentine top with gadroon-carved edge on elaborate blind fretwork frieze, raised on four cabriole legs headed by leaf carved knees and terminating in ball and claw feet, 105cm x 67cm x 76cm high Condition: Two-piece top has slightly shrunk over the years leaving a gap between the planks. Top is slightly light in colour due to sun fading, would benefit from minor restoration. Rosewood pedestal writing table, the hinged fall with blind-tooled skiver, one side with hinged ink bottle drawer, on octagonal pedestal support with carved foliate decoration, concave triangular platform base and scroll feet, 37cm x 38cm x 82cm high Condition: Back edge moulding missing to top. Rips to blind-tooled leather skiver. Cracks and losses to interior, lock plate missing. William & Mary-style walnut lowboy, the cross grain-moulded rectangular top with blind-tooled wine skiver over shallow central drawer, wavy kneehole and two deep drawers, raised on tapering octagonal supports and wavy X-stretcher on bun feet, 79.5cm x 54.5cm x 70cm high Condition: General scuffing and wear to leather skiver. Typical minor cracking to veneer including splits to side panels. Reverse is not veneered and shows ends of dovetails indicating a possible concoction. A GOOD LATE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK, by JOSEPH FINNEY, LIVERPOOL, with an arched dial with moon phase movement, silvered dial and subsidiary seconds dial, matted gilt trellis ground, ornate cast spandrels, the arch engraved with motto "On times uncertain, date eternal hours depend", the hood with eagle and bull finials, swan neck pediment, fluted columns with brass capitals, the case with fluted columns and blind fret decoration on ogee bracket feet. 8ft 5ins high.

Above, a flared edge top with stub stage gallery back having further blind fret worked detailing. Measures 110 x 48 x 85cm.

A George III mahogany chest on chest, with moulded dentil cornice and blind fretwork carved frieze above a series of eight drawers all flanked by canted angles and raised on bracket feet. Width 125 cm, height 170 cm, depth 58 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The chest is in generally good order. The moulded cornice is in good condition all round. The dentil work is all present with the exception of one very small piece right at the very rear left-hand side of the cornice. The frieze beneath is in generally good condition with one minor stress fracture to the rear right-hand corner. The fretwork is mostly present and is in particularly good condition along the front. Both sides have had small repairs and there are small losses. The sides at the top are in generally good order and the same comments apply to the base. The drawer fronts are all in good condition with no losses to the cockbeading. The drawer linings are all oak. The drawer fronts are thick veneer onto oak. This will be the same for the sides of the cabinet. The left-hand return base moulding has the rear 10 cm of moulding detached. We have the piece. The bracket feet are in good condition all round. The left-hand canted angle has had an old veneer repairs. The rear boards are pine and appear to be original. The colour of the piece is generally good. It has probably been cleaned and lightly polished within the last 10 years.
Napoleonic War Period Light Cavalry Officer’s Sword.A good quality example modelled on the 1788 Light Cavalry pattern. The single edged 33 inch blade with engraved decoration depicting a mounted cavalry officer and a stand of arms. The back of the blade with engraved initials “IBB”. The hilt with a single steel bad and chequered wood grip. Housed in original brown leather and steel mounted scabbard. The leather with blind tooled decoration of a style found on Scottish broadsword scabbards. Overall condition is good engraving clear to parts. The scabbard is mounted with steel top and middle mounts chape is brass. One loose ring absent.

A Liverpool longcase clock of small proportions, broken swan neck pediment flanked by urn-shaped finials above filigree metal dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals, blind fretwork and gadrooned decoration throughout, shaped door flanked by quart pilasters, raised on bracket feet, spring driven and chiming, height 150cm (af). CONDITION REPORT Overall very good condition, one of the teardrop finials below the dial is missing. Some normal age-related wear, no obvious signs of damage or repair to the case. No twisting of door, movement appears complete. Keys and pendulum present. Ticks when wound.

A George III mahogany display cabinet, with blind fret carved swan neck pediment and two astragal glazed doors over two short and one long drawer, on ogee bracket feet, W.4ft 7in. D.1ft 8in. H.8ft 3in.CONDITION: A good-looking piece that is probably adapted from a plainer example. Blind-fret pediment looks later. One small loss of crossbanding to the left door. Key works door lock but no key for drawers. Top and bottom shelves have three slots to adjust the height but middle shelf is fixed. Handles later. Good rich colour and state of polish.

D.1ft 10in. H.6ft 10in.CONDITION: Good rich red mahognay tone and high state of polish. Repolished fairly recently. Metalwork all later. Fretwork pediment with numerous small old repairs - looks to be an later, probably Edwardian, 'improvement'. Both sides to the upper section have vertical splits. Backboards match. No key. Overall definately 'improved' but a good lokking piece in good condition.

A George III silver five division cruet stand by Robert Hennell I,(a.f.) with three matching casters and two associated? unmarked mounted cut glass bottles, the stand with ring handle, engraved crest and fluted feet, one of the three casters has a blind cap, London, 1778, stand height 32.8cm, 43.5 oz.CONDITION: The handle is broken at the top. Minor chips to the base rim of both glass bottles. Casters in good order. Minor surface scratches in general, commensurate with age and use. Hallmarks clear.
