HITLER YOUTH FILM STRIP ON "HEREDITARILY-DISEASED OFFSPRING"Rare, horrific propaganda film strip aimed at German youth: "HEREDITARILY DISEASED OFFSPRING", a strip of photos of diseased, physically handicapped and mentally retarded Germans exhibited long with quotes by Hitler and text explaining the need for racial planning to avoid the enormous cost of caring for these unfortunates. This is truly a cruel presentation as the blind, deaf, and "Idiots!" are portrayed as being a "burden" which would henceforth be eliminated by the 1934 Law for the Prevention of Hereditarily Diseased Offspring. The film strip is contained within the original cardboard container with Hitler Youth emblem and label: "Erbkranker Nachwuchs". The slides and container are are in fine condition. The law decreed the compulsory sterilization?of any citizen who in the opinion of a "Genetic Health Court" suffered from a list of alleged genetic disorders - many of which were not, in fact, genetic. A few years later, these same people would begin to be euthanized…
