T.L.S., Louis Botha, one page, 4to (small area of paper loss to the lower edge), Capetown, 7th December 1910, to the Honourable J. W. Sauer, on the blind embossed stationery of the Prime Minister's office. Botha refers to a letter and other documents which he has received from Colonel Greene, remarking 'The contents thereof considerably surprised me' and continuing 'The state of affairs in regard to the Administration of the Railways as it is stated to be in this correspondence does not agree with what I understood from you from time to time in Cabinet'. The partially printed document, on the printed stationery of the President of the German Red Cross, featuring the Nazi Eagle and Swastika, appoints Ulrich Pusch to be a DRK-Oberfeldfuhrer with immediate effect. Harewood House Christmas card has some wear, dirt and scuffs, some yellowing and spotting, card bears gilt "M" cypher to front and to back "Raphael Tuck Sons Ltd", size of card when closed approx. 12.5 cm x 16.75 cm.
