Avec l'explication des C‚r‚monies de l'Eglise, Et des Instructions, Prieres & courtes R‚flexions sur les Myst‚res & Offices que l'on c‚l‚bre dans cette Sainte Semaine, Par Monsieur l'Abe‚ de Bellegarde, Paris: Jacques Collombat, 1732, engraved frontispiece (with blind stamp to lower margin), additional engraved title, four engraved plates, woodcut head & tailpieces, decorative initials, lower outer corner of b1 torn, red ruled margins throughout volume, marbled endpapers with 20th century bookplate of Karl Lachmann to upper pastedown, all edges gilt, contemporary full red morocco (in the manner of Antoine Michel Padeloup le Jeune, fl. 1712-1758), decorated with gilt pointille, floral & foliage decoration, within interlaced fanfare ribbon strapwork design, centre of each board with gilt arms of Louis XIV, discreet repairs at head & foot of spine and to board corners, 8vo The central decorative design appears to occur exactly on other examples of bindings from the period. It appears the design may have been applied via a block or plate, thus enabling the decoration to be applied relatively quickly, whilst mantaining quality and accuracy. A similar example of this design can be found on a 1743 edition of the same work at the British Library (shelf C47g5). (1)

A printed rehearsal script for Episode 5 [of Series 3], written by Jennifer Saunders, [first broadcast on BBC, 4 May 1995], title and 71 numbered leaves, printed to rectos only, butterfly clip to upper left corner, title signed in blue ballpoint pen by June Whitfield (surname faded and heavily overinked), Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Julia Sawalha, Bob Spiers (director), Lulu and largely faded signatures of two further guest actresses from this episode, Kathy Burke and Helen Lederer, plus one other now completely indistinct signature, 8vo (21 x 15cm) In this episode Patsy shacks up with Edina after Saffy leaves for University and find it hard to survive. Things get worse when Lulu decides to leave Eddy and join a more efficient American PR company, while Patsy's magazine folds and she loses her job. Provenance: June Whitfield originally donated this to a charity auction on behalf of a performing arts school in London for the blind and disabled. (1)

When Norfolk was later sent to the tower for treason he transferred his services to Mary. Gordon was renowned for his skill in classical and oriental languages, which would account for the present volume in his library (signature 'Johannes Gordonius Scotus' to title, scored through); The Earls of Macclesfield (armorial bookplate and blind-stamps). Jugge], [?1573-1575].⁂ Rare early pocket edition of the English New Testament, the text closely following that of the folio Bishops' version published by Jugge in 1572. STC records only 3 copies in the UK (2 imperfect); and one in North America (New York Public Library, also imperfect).
