A 19thC oak and mahogany longcase clock, with swan neck pedimented hood, set with brass roundels and an urn finial, raised above a shaped trunk door with a wide cross banding, flanked by quarter columns, the whole raised on stylised ogee bracket feet, with a painted Roman numeric arched dial set with painted buildings to the spandrels, 28cm wide dial, with subsidiary second hand and date aperture, with eight day movement, with two weights, pendulum and key, 214cm high.
An Edwardian rosweood Sheraton revival cabinet, of rectangular form with a plain moulded top raised above a frieze drawer, inset with various scrolls and urn, with brass handles above a double cupboard and plain glazed cupboard beneath on a platform base terminating in bracket feet, 102cm high, 63cm wide, 40cm deep.
An George III mahogany bureau bookcase, the upper section with a pair of astragal glazed doors, raised above a fall, with oval lock escutcheon held by loafers, revealing a cupboard, pigeon holes and a baize writing section, raised along four long cock beaded drawers with swan neck handles, on bracket feet, 185cm high, 110cm wide, 57cm deep.
A late 19thC mahogany cased bracket clock, with arched dial in a fitted case with turned spandrels flanked by floral gilt metal additions on scroll feet, with a 14cm diameter Roman numeric and Arabic silvered chapter ring, slow/fast feature and eight day chiming movement striking on the hour, the quarter and the half hour, pierced gilt metal sides and Sigwart & Son label numbered 5240, 46cm high.
LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH MAHOGANY TWO TRAIN BRACKET CLOCK, the face marked 'T. Austen', having arched case with brass loop handle to the top, brass bezel to the circular Roman dial, two brass grills below on a moulded platform base with ogee bracket feet. Two train brass movement with engraved back plate and brass pendulum bob, the movement striking on two graduated bells. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Fair condition, the case has suffered considerable wear and tear with splits and losses in places. Damage to door frame which has been repaired at some stage but still evidence of loss externally. Movement appears ok. 38cm high, 20cm weep, 29cm high.
EARLY 20TH CENTURY STAINED OAK LONGCASE CLOCK having arched hood above brass face with silvered Roman chapter ring, glazed waist door flanked by fluted corinthian quarter columns on a panelled base with bracket feet. Three train movement striking Westminster chimes on five gongs. Face 14 x 10" approx. Overall 198cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Appearing in good original condition. Including gongs, pendulum and three brass cased weights.
UNUSUAL VICTORIAN MAHOGANY TRAY TOPPED DESK with over shelf above an arrangement of four cock beaded short and long drawers with two blind panel cupboards below, all with turned knobs on bracket feet, gilded brass carrying handles. Probably converted from a campaign washstand. 81 x 55 x 107cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Appears to have been a conversion originally with an opening top now forming a desk with drawers and cupboards. Good overall condition. Short moulding missing from top shelf, general scratches and wear and tear with age.
19TH CENTURY CHANNEL ISLANDS MAHOGANY 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK marked J. Le Gallais, Jersey, the case with later turned finials, broken scroll pediment over arched aperture, flanked by baluster turned columns above waist with moulded pointed arch door, panelled base on bracket frieze feet. Painted arch face with seconds and date dials, Roman numerals and painted animals to spandrels with girl and rabbits to the arch. 8 day two train movement striking on one bell. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall in basically good condition, rather dusty and grubby. Finials are later editions. columns are detached, includes pendulum.
FINE LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK TWO STAGE HOUSEKEEPERS CUPBOARD having moulded cornice (later), over three blind panelled cupboard doors with fitted shelves to the interior on a projecting base with an arrangement of three frieze drawers over two centre drawers flanked by matching blind panelled cupboards, on bracket feet. Overall 90cm wide x 55cm deep by 214cm high approx. Note: this item was originally in a farm near Welshpool in mid Wales. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Appearing in good condition overall with particularly nice colour and patination. The cornice appears to have been replaced at some stage. Minor losses to feet in places with general wear and tear commensurate with age.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK BOOKCASE CUPBOARD having two glazed doors, the interior revealing two fitted ebonised shelves above two fitted drawers with brass loop handles and two blind panelled fielded doors, standing on projecting base and bracket feet. 108 x 38 x 186cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
18TH CENTURY OAK 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the face marked Joshua Alloway?, Taunton, the case overall later carved with broken swan neck pediment above moulded cornice, square aperture flanked by fluted columns, arch waisted door, panel base on bracket feet. Brass face with pierced foliate spandrels, Roman chapter ring, seconds dial and date aperture, 8 day two train movement striking on one bell. The face 7.5 x 12" dial approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall appearing to be in good condition, includes two lead weights and brass bob pendulum. The case later copiously carved but appearing in good condition. The name on the face is difficult to be sure but appears to be either Alloway or Allorvay. Joshua Alloway recorded London circa 1726.
LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK CASED 8 DAY TWO TRAIN LONGCASE CLOCK by 'James Green of Gloucester', the hood having broken swan neck pediment above square aperture flanked by gun barrel turned pilasters, the waist with cross banded, plain waist door flanked by quarter reeded pilasters on a panel base with bracket feet. Brass 12" square face with Roman chapter ring, seconds dial and date aperture, two train movement, striking on one bell. 220cm high overall approx.(B.P. 21% + VAT)(B.P. 21% + VAT) Appearing in good condition, minor wear commensurate with age. Includes weight and pendulum with winder. Lacks the eagle and spike brass cresting to the pediment, otherwise ok.
18TH CENTURY STYLE WELSH OAK COFFWR BACH having moulded top above three square fielded panels, the projecting base with two fitted drawers and a central pull out blind panelled drawer, standing on bracket feet. 65 x 34 x 44cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Very nice colour. Some wear and splits in places but overall good usable condition.
George III flame mahogany linen press with dentil cornice above panelled doors over two short over two long drawers on bracket feet. 128W x 211H x 37D Wear consistent with age and use.To include:Minor cracks to front, including to frieze below cornice, doors and drawers.Crack to central moulding of door.Fading to drawers and some loss of veneer, and losses to moulding.Break to moulding on one side and some fading and areas of repair.Other side with areas of repair to moulding.Knocks and scuff marks to feet. Chip to corners of doors below frieze.
Modern mahogany eight-day longcase clock, the silvered and brassed 30cm dial with triple train movement, moon phase, Arabic and Roman numerals, subsidiary date and seconds dials, by Comitti of London, 198cm high, with three brass weights and pendulum, Minor scratching to chapter ring.Scratches below hinge of dial door.Very minor wear to case.Chips and scratching to bracket feet and apron.
