A SET OF EIGHT PARCEL GILT WALNUT WALL BRACKETS LATE 19TH CENTURY Each with serpentine softwood top on leaf carved scroll bracket support each 32.5cm high, tops 36.5cm wide, 18.4cm deep Condition Report: There are scratches, marks, knocks, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use.There are losses, observations and restorations including: these brackets are probably constructed with 19th century architectural brackets, the tops probably later; there is some evidence of worm, the backs with some holes from previous fixings and with some sections with signs of age; the lower part of the wall brackets are in constructed of two sections; the parcel gilt with some rubbing; the tops are painted to simulate walnut and with a parcel gilt painted edge; the tops have later metal wall fixings; one of the brackets is not fixed firm and the top rotates.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition. A William and Mary style walnut, birds eye maple and seaweed marquetry chest of drawers, the moulded rectangular top with large inlaid oval with flowerheads, birds and foliate scrolls, above two short and three long graduated drawers, mounted with brass drop handles and escutcheons, raised on bracket feet, 87 cm high x 95.5 cm wide x 57 cm deep
A Georgian mahogany chest-on-chest, the moulded cornice above two short drawers and three long graduated drawers, above a base of three long drawers to bracket feet, 170 x 111 x 58cm (af).Condition Report: - The top left short drawer has a notable patch repair to the bottom right corner and some red staining. Also losses to the top trim of that drawer. Further patch repairs, including a full strip across the top right-hand short drawer, the top left corner of the drawer directly below. Notable splits to the left-hand side upper section and right-hand upper and lower section. With sun damage to the front face and further wear commensurate with age and use, including scuffs, scrapes, fading, staining, etc.
A 20th century pine dressing chest with bevelled mirror plate above two short jewellery drawers and a base of three long drawers, to bracket feet, 150 x 91 x 49cm (af).Condition Report: - The drop handle from the bottom right-hand side drawer is missing. The top has a split running from the right-hand side, approximately a third of the way across. Further patch repair to the front corner, which is visible, with further, scuffs, scrapes, fading, staining, etc, visible throughout. Also lacking a back panel.
A brass bell from the trawler S.T. Agnes H. Weatherly, dated 1917 Aberdeen, with brass bracket, height of bell 24cm, to top of bracket 35cm, diameter 26cm, lacking clanger, launched March 1917 by the John Duthie Torry ship building company (Yard 428) for Weatherlys Steam Fishing Co Ltd Aberdeen, in May 1917 it was requisitioned for war service as a minesweeper based in Egypt, January 1919 returned to the owners in Aberdeen, sold to Dutch ship breakers in 1960.

A GEORGE II MAHOGANY BACHELOR'S CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1750 The caddy moulded top above a tooled leather inset brushing slide 79cm high, 76.5cm wide, 47cm deep Condition Report: Overall there are some scratches, marks, knocks, cracks, abrasions and minor repairs consistent with age and use.The top has some scratches, pitting and cracks.Some splits/pronounced joints including to the sides and bracket feet.The back with a later dark wash.Some later timber repairs, blocks and braces including to the feet, underside and back.There is some old worm.The slide with a gilt tooled leather inset that pulls out without pegs holding it fast.There is one key that operates the top drawer. Some repairs to the oak drawer linings. The locks are later and the markings around the inside of the handle fixings suggest that the escutcheons and handles could be later though there are no signs of shadowing or other holes from previous handles.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.
