Pair of Japanese bronze baluster shaped vases with inlaid gold, silver and copper decoration, overall decorated with stylised scroll work, prunus blossom, birds and other foliage, the bodies with stylised elephant loop handles and standing on short bracket feet, below a Grecian key band. 33cm high. Together with a pair of pierced, stained wooden three legged stands.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: We have conferred and agonised over these vases. They appear to have had some sort of lacquered finish applies at some stage giving an odd texture and appearance. They are obviously of some quality and are generally in good condition overall. Some nicks and minor scratches particularly around the necks.
